On Tuesday January 12, 2017, age 78, of Avalon. Beloved wife of the late Jesse Root Ecker; dear mother of Joseph F. (Nancy) Ecker of Ross Twp., Jesse R. Ecker, Jr. of Shaler, Jean Kania of Avalon, John Ecker, Janice (Ron) Cushman of Jacksonville, FL; grandmother of Sara, Melissa and Christina Ecker, Jesse, Jr. and Jessica Ecker, Jason Willett and James Kania, Evan and Gracie Joanne Cushman; great-grandmother of Connor Joseph "Scratch" Kilpatrick, Anthony Laborers, Kayden, Cloe and Jesse Ecker. Joanne enjoyed crafts, stained glass, Slippery Rock Camp Ground, vacationing, and above all, the family she brought into this world. WE LOVE YOU, GEE. Family and friends are welcome Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the McDonald-Linn Funeral & Cremation Service, LLC., 529 California Ave., Pgh., PA 15202. Funeral service will be held Tuesday 10 a.m. at Berkley Hills Lutheran Church, 517 Sangree Rd., Pgh., PA 15237. (Everyone please meet at the church.)
