Robert Wayne Ruch, 79, retired Avalon police officer, died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, of natural causes, at his home in Emsworth. Mr. Ruch was born March 19, 1935, in Iowa. He served in the Army, in the Honor Guard. Following his service, Mr. Ruch continued to serve as an officer with the Kilbuck and Avalon Police departments until his retirement. Mr. Ruch was an active member of North Hills Boroughs and Township Police Association. Bob was an avid fisherman, hunter and patriot.
