Katherine Alston (Dalzell) Melisko

Age 74, of the Masonic Village, Sewickley, formerly of Ben Avon and North Myrtle Beach, SC, peacefully passed away on Sunday morning, December 24, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Thomas C. Melisko, Sr.; dear mother of Thomas (Karen) Melisko, Jr. and Brett (Judy) Melisko. Also survived by nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; sister of Lynda (Robert) Rowe of Charlotte, NC. Kathy's vocation was being a dedicated Mom and loving Grammy. One of her boys' favorite memories include her allowing them to park their motorcycles in the winter in the house on her oriental rug. Kathy and Tom, Sr. also enjoyed hosting their family at their beach house where they made sure every need was met and plenty of love abounded. Residents of Ben Avon may also remember her days as a proprietor of the Dandy Lion where she served up delicious soups and sandwiches with her infectious smile and wit.
