Charles D. (Sr.) Harvey

Charles D Harvey Sr., age 79 of Avalon passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022. He was born on July 13, 1942 and was the son of the late William G. and Leona M. Harvey. 

Survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Donna (Bloomer) Harvey; dear children, Kathy (Jeffrey Sr.) Houser, William Harvey, and the late Charles Harvey Jr.; three loving grandchildren, Jeffrey Jr. Houser, Kristine Houser, and Austin Harvey; and many nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by siblings, William G. Harvey, Gladys Cloonan, Mary Kalchthaler, John R. Harvey, Dolores Dugan and Sara Harvey. 

Charles was a graduate of Oliver High School and after graduation went into Property Management. He was an amazing caregiver for many years for his loving wife. Charles was not afraid to try new things, he made beer, wine, and even did photography. 

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, June 26, 2022 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the McDonald-Linn Funeral Home Inc., (529 California Ave., Avalon, PA 15202). A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 11:00am in the McDonald-Linn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Royal Cemetery.
