Genevieve “Jean” Cessar Graham was called home on January 3, 2021 after a brief, but courageous, fight with cancer.  Jeannie was born in Pittsburgh, PA to George M. and Frances (Spoales) Cessar of Lawrenceville.  Jean was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend to many.  Between raising six children and one husband, Jean also spent time working at Bell Telephone, General Nutrition Corporation, the Greenstone Methodist Church in Avalon, and child-sitting for some of her favorite neighbors and friends.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace A. Graham (1995), son John Michael Graham (2012), and niece, Susan Tankersley (2017).  She is survived by her son Lawrence of West View, PA; Suzette Ventrone (Jack) of Bradenton, Fla.; Jimmy (Karen) of Duluth, GA; Paula Richardson of Ft. Meyers, Fla.; Glenn (Kay) of Auburn, GA; and, her sister, Judy Tankersley, of Rockville, MD.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Julia, Jonathan, and Megan; great grandchild, Cayde (John); Jackson, Michael and Melissa (Jim); Rebecca and Erin (Paula); Andrew and Liam (Glenn); and her nephew Leland Tankersley (Theresa).

Jean’s remains will be reunited with Wally at Christ The Redeemer Catholic Cemetery in Ross Township.  Due to COVID, a memorial service is planned for a later date.  To express condolences  Jean asked that any remembrances be made to the North Hills Food Bank (www.NortHillsfood Bank.org) in her name.
