Geraldine Marie Forbes

Geraldine Marie Forbes, age 82 of Avalon, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, March 4, 2024 with her daughters by her side. She was born on October 4, 1941 to Harry and Catherine Cannon. She was a graduate of Avalon High School and worked at Suburban General and later retired from AHN in the patient finance department. 

Gerri is survived by three loving daughters, Jeanne (Josh) Snively, Jamie (Patrick) O’Kelly, and Judi (Nathan) Graves; four grandchildren, Lindsay (Terrell) Brown, Luke Snively (Becca Goldberg), Meghan (Anthony) Harris, and Garrett/Daphne O’Kelly; five great-grandchildren, Julliana, Adria, Elise, Joslyn, and Jack; sister, Patricia Fortunato; nieces, Melinda, and Christine, nephew, Frank, and dear friend Mary Ann Dunne. 

Geri loved her family deeply and was also known as Gummi by grandkids and friends alike. She was a unique character with a spunky personality, warm heart and lively spirit. She was caring to all and thoughtful in all she did. One of her greatest joys was the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

The family wishes to thank the amazing caregivers and staff at Masonic Village for their patience and tenderness in caring for our mother. We will always be grateful for the peace you gave us.  

As per her wishes, a private graveside ceremony will be held at Rosedale Cemetery. We invite you to please  celebrate Gerri’s memory in your own ways. We know that she will always be with us in spirit.
