Mary was born on July 9, 1928 in Upper Darby, PA, to Francis and Mary (Soden) Bradley. Mary graduated from Notre Dame Catholic Girls High School in 1946. She married the love of her life, Thomas, in 1950, and was the proud wife of a U.S. Army officer. Her six children were born over an eight year period at five different military postings. Upon her husband’s retirement from the military, Mary and family resided in Mt. Lebanon, PA. During her later years, she resided in Ben Avon and Avalon, PA.
Mary loved her family and loved life. She enjoyed travelling, spending time at the shore with family in Sea Isle City, NJ, and wintering in St. Petersburg, FL near Richard and Gail. Cooking, reading, playing bridge, doing crosswords, listening to Frank Sinatra and talking about her grandkids were her favorite activities. She thanked God everyday for family and friends, and for the ability to live independently for so many years. She had a kind and gentle soul. Her love of life and family are, and will continue to be, a source of inspiration. She is secure in God’s hands and we will miss her deeply.
