Richard A. Brooks

Richard A. Brooks, age 87 of Avalon, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 21, 2023 at his home. He was born on August 17, 1935 and was the beloved husband of 65 years to Janet (Smith) Brooks.

In addition to his wife he is survived by five loving children, Brian (Jodi), Candy (Andy), Myia (Mike), Noah (Theresa), and Amy (Michael); ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; sister, Dib Williams; and many nieces and nephews. 

Richard Loved God with all of his heart and soul. 

He is preceded in death by his parents James and Caroline Brooks, and his sister, Jean Grimes. 

A Service will be held at 10:30AM at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, PA 15017. 

Psalm 91:

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High

Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;

My God, in Him I will trust.”

 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler

And from the perilous pestilence.

He shall cover you with His feathers,

And under His wings you shall take refuge;

And show him My salvation.”
