William Edward Thomas, Jr.

Age 67, of Bellevue, on Friday, August 27, 2021. Preceded in death by his parents William Edward Thomas, Sr., and Odessa Mae Thomas; sisters Diana Bagley and Mary Ann Fesler. Beloved father of William Edward Thomas, III. and Shelby Leanne Thomas. Loving brother of Fran (Alan) Edmunds and Sylvia Jean Thomas. Cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews. Also survived by former wife, Shirlene Thomas. Bill will be truly missed by his beloved best friends Kevin Patterson and Dwight Eskridge. Bill was a graduate and accomplished football and basketball star at Bellevue High School and continued his skills at the Institute of Roswell New Mexico. Bill went on to graduate with his Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Pittsburgh. Bill dedicated his career as a Communications Officer at Ross Township Police Department and then moving forward as a Director of Security at Ross Park Mall. A Going Home Celebration of Bill’s life will be held at Mount Zion Baptish Church, 36 Meade Ave., Pgh., PA., 15202, on SATURDAY, September 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to the McDONALD-LINN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICE, LLC., 529 California Ave., Pgh., PA., 15202. A private burial for the family will take place at a later date in Highwood Cemetery, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
